〈 CHARACTER INFO 〉
CHARACTER NAME: Eve
CHARACTER AGE: 6,000+ years, but she appears to be in the early 30s at most.
SERIES: Lucifer
CHRONOLOGY: The end of season 4 when she decides to go find herself.
CLASS: Not really sure yet. She'll lean more to hero than villain, but she's also easy to manipulate into doing bad things.
HOUSING: Opt-in to roommates!

BACKGROUND: Her wiki but I'm doing a more detailed one here. Eve was created at the beginning of humanity as the very first woman. She was made out of Adam and given to him as his second wife. While Eve was created to be the perfect woman, subservient and reliable to Adam, she often got frustrated (especially with his obsession with his ex Lilith) and longed for her own life. The one time she was able to make a choice for herself, it was to be seduced by Lucifer Morningstar. Lucifer was the temptation that the Bible spoke of that led Eve and Adam to be cursed by God. She went back to being subservient and created for Adam's will alone. Eventually they had two sons, Cain and Abel. Eve clearly favored her "sweet" Abel even if she loved Cain as well, and still loved him after he murdered his brother. Per the Bible, she and Adam had several other children, including Seth who went on to be a major figure in the world, so at least one of them went right!

Eventually Adam and Eve passed away and became the very first human residents in the Silver City aka Heaven. Eve spent all the time since then being in Heaven and married to Adam, although she found no true happiness or contentment with him. She often greeted people when they came to heaven and asked about their life on earth, fascinated by what was going on there. She watched over humanity and their actions and dreamed of going down there. And then she said ... why shouldn't I? Why shouldn't she finally get to choose her own life? So she found a way to escape Heaven and come to earth in her original youthful body. She did this knowing she may never get back into Heaven, but it's a reality she's accepted.

She immediately went looking for her former lover Lucifer, because he was the last time that she felt like she had choices of her own. She came down to earth to have fun and also to win his heart again. They did become a couple and she was happy. She loved his wild lifestyle full of sex, drugs, liquor, and adventure. Eve got frustrated about Lucifer's attention being split, and she become close friends with Maze. She thought what she offered Lucifer was embracing his dark side, but eventually he realized it was because that was who she loved and dumped her. Heartbroken, Eve refused to accept the break up and planned to do whatever she could to get him back. She was manipulated by Father Kinley who told her if she got Lucifer back to Hell she might win him back. This led to the kidnapping Charlie and she realized how naive but horrible her actions were all in a quest to have Lucifer's love. Eve helped them save Charlie and then decided to go away and find out who she was on her own.

PERSONALITY: Eve's major problem is that she's constantly defining herself by the way other people see her and whether or not they love her. She was constantly devastated by Adam's dismissal of her and obsession with his first wife Lilith, and then she was desperate for Lucifer to love her the way she always dreamed of. Something she also didn't get. Eve goes above and beyond to try and be the person that she thinks other people want of her. Sometimes subservient, always supportive, getting into all their hobbies and worshipping the men she wants to love her. She realizes at the end of the season that she doesn't know who she is. Maze may truly love her in the way she's always wanted, but it's because Maze sees her for who she is ... and Eve still does not. She wants to find herself, and she has to do that alone instead of constantly relying on the love and attention of others.

Eve is naive, loving, and extremely accepting of others. No matter what they've done, she finds a way to forgive and to understand where they're coming from. When Amenadiel points out that Lucifer killed her son Cain, she calmly points out that her son killed Abel and also most recently Charlotte Richards, and that his actions led to his death. She doesn't hold grudges. She accepts Lucifer's dark side but had a hard time seeing him for who he is now, not the person she thought he was. She can be very blind that way and in denial about things she doesn't want to hear. Her naive attitude can lead her to be reckless and make impulsive decisions, assuming they'll just go the way she wants, and she is very easy to be taken advantage of because of that.

Eve spent all her years in Heaven watching humanity and talking to humans who get there. She is fascinated by earth and by the mortal world now that she's out of it. She longed to experience it herself, as an individual and not as the first woman. Despite the fact she is aware of many things about human history, witnessing both the bad and the good, she doesn't have any emotional attachment so she can be emotionally very dense about humanity and what it needs. She's oblivious to the flaws in humanity or how to fit in with it now that she's back. She has this intense need to be liked and she's working on not letting that overpower her search for individualism. Eve otherwise is just excited to be in a new life and to explore the world and all it has to offer. Even if being on earth gave her a great deal of pain, she's never had this type of adventure and freedom so she's happy to have it.

Eve is overall a very kind person with a big heart and the capacity of great love for others. She is flawed due to her willful innocence and incapability to see the error in her choices until it's too late (re: Charlie), and her desire to see only what she wants to see, but her intentions are usually good. She wants people to be happy and enjoy their lives, and now she wants to find a way to gain that for herself and understand her own identity. Whether she'll slide back on old habits is anyone's guess. Change isn't as easy as she'd like it to be.

POWER: I will of course have an opt-out for these abilities and never use them without explicit permission from other players.

Enhanced Charisma - Eve is someone who people can't help but like. In canon, several people wanted to dislike her, but ended up swayed by her quickly. Her innocence and kindness have a tendency to make people soften toward her and be persuaded to what she wants from them. If she learns how to hone this ability, she could use it someday to enable people to trust and be loyal to her enough to do her bidding, or listen to what she's telling them and follow orders.

Love Inducement - Eve feels love very strongly and she's practically radiating it when she's in it. She's managed to seduce several people without really trying (in Maze's case). She would definitely encourage others to feel love for someone else, whether that's platonic or romantic. If this power is strengthened, she may be able to make someone fall in love with someone else (or herself) or become infatuated.

Morality Manipulation - Eve in canon was able to persuade Lucifer to embrace his darkest side and to become eviler and out of control. She also brings out the best in people, like in Maze, creating vulnerability and kindness. Because of that, this ability will allow her to do something similar, merely encourage people to be their best self or their worst self depending on her wishes. In the future if honed, this could lead her to talk down a criminal by encouraging them to embrace their moral side and good choices so they may voluntarily stop. Or convince good people to do criminal things and embrace their worst side.

COMMUNITY POST (VOICE) SAMPLE: [The video feed opens on her leaning in close, and Eve waves at it with perhaps a little too much enthusiasm. She is a beautiful woman with a wild mane of dark brown curls and wide brown eyes, dressed in a nice dress and impeccable makeup.]

Hi! Oh this is such wonderful technology. I already love selfies but I feel like I'm on television or something! [She laughs and flips her hair back.] Okay so I'm Eve. Don't let my face fool you, I'm very old, but also, don't ask my age, that's so rude. [Someone smiling this much should seem like they're fake, but there's nothing fake or hesitant about her warmth and bright faze.]

I'm new here and well, new in a lot of ways to a lot of things, so I can't wait to learn more about where we are. I want to meet each and every one of you! I am an excellent greeter, maybe that's what I should do for work. Also, does anyone know how to get work? I've never had a real job and I want to see what they're like! [She chews on her lip.] I hope I'll be good at one? Humans do it all the time, right?

[She shakes off that momentary blip and claps her hands.] If you see this smile around, please introduce yourself, I would love love love to say hi. Okay? Okay! [She waves at the camera and then frowns, realizing she has to turn it off herself, leaning forward to do that.]

FINAL NOTES: Eve is the First Woman so there will be references to religion and religious texts, both in the real world and in the Lucifer canon realm, in most of her threads and such. She also may refer to drug use and sexual activity. I'll mark anything that seems above the norm and give people opt-outs for everything!
