[Eve doesn't mind she popped in, but she also has no real concept of personal space and wanders in and out of people's lives herself without hesitation. She is still trying to learn how to be better about that, but it never bothers her.
The room is very clean and Eve's already tried to make subtle but homey touches to the common areas and to her own room. It often smells delicious in there too since she nervous bakes all the time. She pops off the cork of the bottle and comes over, pouring Lilith some in a freshly cleaned glass if she wants it.]
[Eve settles down on a chair nearby with her own wine and her eyes widen slightly, but she nods. So the woman in question is dealing with betrayal and loss she didn't expect. That is tough.]
Sabrina. (Eve echoes with a nod.) I think I've seen her name on the network but we haven't met yet.
(Eve reads most everything that goes on there, and replies whenever she can, but she often spies if other ones are public. She's nosy. Also, just generally curious about people, and there isn't enough time in the day to actively meet every person. Although she's trying.)
You said you betrayed Lucifer for your own reasons. Did those reasons include her?

He made me a promise, something I recently realised he had no intention of fulfilling. Not when there was Sabrina.
Getting out of toxic relationships is tough, especially when he's the super-powered devil.
[It took Eve thousands of years to leave Adam, and that was such low-level toxicity in comparison to what awfulness was clearly going on with Lilith and her Lucifer. She sips her drink.]

( getting out of a toxic relationship is even harder when you're in denial about it, when you're hopeful that fulfilling the prophecy would bring back the man that you'd loved. the kind man that you'd first met.

( she avoids telling eve that sabrina is his daughter. it's a piece to protect sabrina even if the girl now knew )
(Eve isn't surprised; she loves her Lucifer very much, and knows that he isn't what the BIble said he was. But she suspects not all Lucifers are that way, and she's much smarter than she acts. And very emotionally intuitive. She is listening closely to Lilith's words but she's also aware of her body language and expressions.]
Why did you tell her who you were? You could have kept lying.
(Eve is very good at being underestimated. It's a quality that's been true since the beginning of humanity. She is intuitive and very intelligent, despite coming off as ditzy and childishly innocent at times. She's those things too. But she really wants to help Lilith; it means a lot to her, that she came here to talk to her.)
It's not easy, finding out harsh truths. She might just need some time to think it over. (She runs a hand through her hair.) You care, don't you? If she gets over it or not.
( lilith doesn't answer immediately, making a point of not looking at eve. for millennia she'd had to harden herself, to shut away her feelings and not caring had come easily to her, to be cruel to get the job done.
but then she'd been away from lucifer, had been around people that had cared about her, had sought out her guidance-- witch and mortal alike and even if it hadn't been with the truth known about who she was-- it had touched lilith still in a way that she hadn't expected.
(she makes a point of focusing her thoughts on baxter high and not a certain man).
but here-- lilith could have told sabrina the truth from the beginning but she'd allowed her to believe that she was ms. wardwell again, believing that she was protecting her by not telling her the truth, saving her from the pain of what would come. it had seemed like the easy option but it hadn't been-- oh, she was able to masterfully carry it out but she'd gotten in deeper with the girl, been the one witch she could rely on, had made certain that she was safe from harm--
it had been when sabrina had died that it had really hit home. oh, she'd been grateful for what sabrina had done (would do) the entire time but she hadn't realised that she'd truly cared until the girl had died, until that familiar pain settled in her, until she'd felt the relief of seeing her alive again. and that had been why she'd revealed the truth. she cared about sabrina and even if it hurt lying was not protecting her, not anymore, not with what she'd experienced )
I owe something to her.
( it was easier to phrase it like that even if eve likely knew the truth. she did owe sabrina -- she wouldn't have been free from lucifer without her help and the girl would have been stuck with him too, lilith's position pushed even lower. but sabrina had helped her to remember who she was, had given her the courage to fight for what she wanted and to stand up to the man that had abused and betrayed her for so long )
( Eve is very patient. She doesn't press, she lets Lilith sit in the question and decide on her response, sipping her wine in the mean time. She can be very chattery, but she knows when to let the other person own a conversation. She also knows that Lilith doesn't often open up to anyone, and that it's significant she is now, so she can wait forever if she has to. Eve knows a thing or two about motivations and how actions stemming from them can harm people, especially people she cares about.
Lilith doesn't have to say that she cares a great deal about Sabrina. It's there in the quiet, in her struggle with composure or to find the right words. )

( Eve understands that more than it might seem. Her love for Lucifer is different from Lilith's connection with Sabrina, but it is a complex emotion, when someone has freed you. She nods and sets her drink down, her eyes full of sympathy.)
Give her some time, Lilith. It's not easy, for either of you, the deceiver or the deceived. But there's clearly a connection between the two of you, a strong one.

( lilith avoids it for a moment, drinking her wine, eyes not meeting eve's. because the woman is right -- lilith has more reasons to avoid people than to connect with them, a long time having spent keeping her distance from everyone. and where did it leave her now?

Whilst she's here, whilst her aunts are not-- she'll be protected. ( even if her aunts were here lilith would still look out for her but framing it as if she's doing it specifically for a reason. she's a work in progress )
( Eve understands, she really does, despite all the differences between them. She's always been too close to people, crossing boundaries into their space, so Lilith keeping people at a distance is basically the opposite, the shadow of her own behavior. But she feels like they're both a product of how they were made, and how their lives turned out. )
Do you want me to check in on her? Not spy, just ... she might be a little more open to an Eve.
( If Sabrina was used to supernatural beings, Eve feels like her automatic position as the mother of humanity makes people see her as trustworthy, for whatever reason.)
( Eve waves a hand.) Oh it won't be connected to you. I'm sure I'll meet her eventually. I'm very friendly. (It's more surprising when Eve doesn't meet someone!)
I'll play it by ear. I wouldn't deceive her, don't worry, I'm also really, really bad at lying. (As if that's a surprise after Lilith met her.) But I do genuinely feel an urge to protect humanity, especially women.
